You’ve probably heard by now that Amazon has acquired Whole Foods in a $13.7 billion deal … or, if you ask Twitter, the amount a typical customer spends on a trip to Whole Foods.
Yes, pretty much everyone made that same joke.
Amazon buys Whole Foods for 13.7 billion, roughly equivalent to 11 shopping bags of their organic berries.

Retweet if you’ve also spent $13 billion at Whole Foods.

Nice to know I wasn’t the only one overcharged by Whole Foods.

Amazon is buying Whole Foods for only 13 Billion dollars?? I’ve had trips to their salad bar that cost me more than that.

If I had a nickel for all the “Whole Foods is expensive” jokes I’ve seen today I could probably buy some peanut butter at Whole Foods.

So will we all be using Alexa to order organic berries and quinoa soon? Unclear, but we are pretty sure you’ll still be charged extra for bags.
